About the Author
Retired theatre professor, actor, writer, spiritual seeker. Born in Western Oklahoma in the worst blizzard of the winter of 1939. Educated in public schools in Tyrone, Oklahoma, at Southwestern Oklahoma State University, University of Hawaii, Manoa, San Jose State University, and the University of Iowa. I taught theatre and speech at the University of Arkansas, Fayetteville for 3 years, then spent 30 years at the University of Missouri, Columbia. I'm the author and/or editor of several research books and monographs in theatre history and dramatic theory. I've done some playwriting, mainly English adaptation of German and Italian plays and a stage adaptation of Stevenson's Treasure Island. My fiction writing career began in 2002.
